Our Success

1. Our academic collaborators established several allergic diseases murine models to study the mechanism of gastrointestinal disease pathogenesis including eosinophilic esophagitis.

2. Most recently, our group in association with academic researchers have established inflammation-induced chronic pancreatitis associated pancreatic malignancy and metastasis.

3. We with the association of the collaborators established interleukin (IL)-18 to the eosinophil generation and maturation in disease state.

4. Our in vitro and in vivo research in collaboration to academic centers indicated that IL-18 induced eosinophils mediators are critical in promoting pancreatic malignancy.

5. We established the role of tissue and cells specific Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) in promoting fibroblast heterogeneity, plasticity and cancer associated fibroblast (CAFs) development.

6. Working to establish Biomarkers for chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic malignancy.
